California Home Energy Initiative
The CA Home Energy Initiative supports homeowners in high-risk and underserved communities by connecting them with self-generation programs that reduce dependence on the public grid.
Our Mission
Supporting Californians Toward Energy Self-Sufficiency
CA Home Energy Initiative works with homeowners in wildfire-affected and underserved neighborhoods to deploy residential self-generation systems, improving reliability, reducing monthly costs, and building more resilient communities throughout the state.
Building Local Power Infrastructure
Following years of infrastructure damage from wildfires, California utilities have shifted focus toward community-level distributed energy. Local generation systems help stabilize the grid and make dependable, clean power more reachable for everyday homeowners.
Utility-Backed Approvals
Qualified self-generation systems go through a review and approval process managed by trusted program administrators in coordination with local utilities. Eligible participants may receive bill credits in exchange for contributing to community energy resources.

Can I reschedule my appointment?
